Cashier-less Technology is About to Be Grand

Lately, several companies have decided to strengthen their pillars using technology as their base. These companies spend like a sailor on software and digital equipment. Equipment that has the power to bring about a change. One such building technology is cashier-less technology.
Amazon, as we all know, is the first to come out with the idea of cashier-less stores; a concept that makes grocery shopping all the more exciting. These stores, as named Amazon-Go, are currently located in Seattle and Chicago. However; by 2019 the company plans on opening 50 more stores of the same nature.
As amazing as it sounds, technology often backfires when we least expect it to. With the Go stores on a roll, the company is making all possible efforts to replicate the model in other cities. Using computer vision, deep learning algorithms, and sensor fusion, Amazon strives to make retail process as hassle-free as possible. However; flaws are a part of everything that appears pretty from a distance.
The cashier-less technology apparently doesn’t work in big stores with high ceilings. Why? Seemingly, the system finds it difficult to adjust in a space that’s big and high.
Does this make the idea of creating more such stores void? Not at all. Amazon has been working day and night to nullify the flaws in the system while making it effective for stores of all sizes. As per a recent rumor, Amazon has overcome the problem while making its cashier-less stores fully functional for bigger places.
With Amazon-Go stores around town, you can freely forget your wallet at home. No more hard cash needed, no more queues to form. The cashier-less stores allow you to shop for your needed items without worry of making a cash payment later. All you need to do is download the Amazon-Go app, pick up the items you need while getting them automatically recorded in your virtual cart. And then, leave the store without paying a single penny. The transaction will be completed based on the information stored in your app.
Easy and interesting. Isn’t it?
