Facebook Created A “ War Room” To Fight Misinformation And Fake News

The mega social media platform has learned big time from all the previous incidents that had managed to damage its identity.
Facebook has established a new unit at Menlo Park, Facebook headquarters in California that is being assisted to ensure not to repeat the mistakes that were done in the previous elections held in the United States.
The ‘war room’ is primarily created to fight against misinformation and fake news created and later delivered through the Facebook platform.
Facebook had previously suffered numerous lawsuits and blames for intentionally influencing and leaking the voter’s information in the previous election held in the United States and around the world.
Facebook, which has been blamed for doing too little to prevent misinformation efforts by Russia and others in the 2016 US election, now wants the world to know it is taking aggressive steps with initiatives like the war room.
Facebook said that “Our job is to detect … anyone trying to manipulate the public debate,” said Nathaniel Gleicher, a former White House cybersecurity policy director for the National Security Council who is now heading Facebook’s cybersecurity policy.”
And we this ‘ear room’ is successful in doing what its meant to do and not be part of any other potential fiasco.
