Here comes the innovation to make Gmail experience better. Finally.
It’s been more than a year since Google announced its much-needed reforms in Google mail. Although Google announced the possibility of this feature to be launched late because of the plenty of back-end work required for its functioning.
The innovation I am trying to tell you about, without further ado is, Google’s AMP for Email. This feature can be regarded as Google efforts to turn boring static emails into dynamic messages. This experience is similar to Google web-page experience that happened a few years ago. However, that’s not all.
AMP For Gmail; It’s Finally Coming Out:
As far as I can remember, no dynamic changes have taken place in the traditional-looking Gmail application. Even Gmail product manager Aakash Sahney writes likewise. He states, “over the past decade, our web experiences have changed enormously—evolving from static flat content to interactive apps—yet email has largely stayed the same with static messages that eventually go out of date or are merely a springboard to accomplishing a more complex task.”
Although, I and millions of Gmail users were expecting something cool to happen to the application comparable to what happened to Google web-pages.
You know what happened to Google web-pages, right?
In 2016, Google Accelerated Mobile pages were introduced to mobile pages and articles that supported the standard. This allowed the web-pages to load pretty quickly making the user experience incredible. After making the recognized changes, Google announced to do similar efforts for Google mail as well.
The goal behind efforts put in Google mail was to make the messages “more interactive and engaging,” according to the tech giant.
Like I said above, there was a lot of back-end work required to Google before it could launch what it promised to. However, after more than a year, Google has finally announced modifications in Google mail coming out soon.
What New Can Users Expect in Gmail After Google’s AMP?
Google’s AMP will eventually bring a better experience to users using the widely-popular application. The feature will turn basic Google messages into high-functioning, dynamic and smoothly accessible platform.
Even the effort of clicking on a link, open a new tab and then visiting another website will become easier with the addition.
Still, the interactive part is left to discuss.

Interactive Experience Guaranteed; Google AMP for Gmail:
I have been repeating the word ‘interactive’ from quite a long time now so without further ado let’s look into how this new feature is going to make us like Gmail.
According to Google, with Gmail AMP user can RSVP to an event right from the message. Users can even fill out a questionnaire and even browse through a store’s inventory. Furthermore, the user can even respond to a comment and do more stuff without leaving your web-based email client, which is what I wanted all my life!
Which Partners are Supporting Google Initiative?
Apart from developers that have previously build AMP pages, there are other Google’s partners that are onboard in Google’s AMP for Gmail innovation. Google partners include SparkPost; the email delivery and analytics platform. Also Litmus; the email design and marketing tool are hand-in-hand with Google. Furthermore, Twilio Sendgrid and Amazon’s SES and Pinpoint email and marketing tools are supporting Google’s AMP for Google mail.
