Google Announces to Conduct Cloud Next Online Due to the Outrage of Coronavirus

Coronavirus has almost hit the edge of destruction and economies are struggling to survive. In the prevailing chaos and confusion, Google makes an innovative decision by replacing their physical conference with Google Cloud Connect ’20: Digital Connect.

A few days ago, Facebook canceled F8 Developer Conference due to the outrage of coronavirus worldwide. And today, Google has made an important announcement about the most awaited tech and the cloud-focused event of 2020 i.e. Cloud Next. It alters the venue from San Francisco, California to the web, considering the health benefit of thirty thousand attendees, as the novel virus continues to expand across the globe.

Google Cloud Next ’20 was to be conducted in the Moscone Center in between 6th to 8th April 2020. All the arrangements were made, flight and hotel reservations were made, and people tech-enthusiast were all excited for the insiders.

With the outrage of the novel coronavirus, Google took a wise decision by not completely shutting the event off. Instead, they have transferred it on the web – providing similar essence without the struggle of traveling and risking the health of attendees.

It also makes the attendees’ entry free to the online event and announces to automatically refund all the tickets. Also, Google has claimed to automatically cancel all the flight and hotel reservations made through their conference registration system.

With the announcement of Google Cloud Next ’20: Digital Connect, Google has proved that innovation lies in their origins. And this step seems to make the event a bigger hit than the physical event would have been. Google says that each registered attendee will be sent an invite to the digital connect via emails, they can join and contribute to the success of Cloud Next at the ease of their home sweet home. It further says that this digital connect would surely curate an opportunity to learn the keynotes, have breakout sessions, and connect with experts from all across the globe at the same time.

Put aside all the innovation and technology, the outrage of novel coronavirus has put an unforeseen pressure across the globe. It is bounding people inside their homes, with most of the world’s economy in jeopardy. However, we are looking forward to seeing what Google decides about their next big conference that is scheduled in between 12th May to 14th May. However, it won’t be really surprising most of the big upcoming projects get canceled due to the outrage of this novel coronavirus.
