Interbrand’s Global Brands List Is Here! Who Made To The Top Three?

The digital world is all about marketing and branding, you can’t expect even a traditionally-existing large form to function efficiently by relying on old ways of marketing. Depending on how things work here, branding has become a major tool through which a business can judge where it stands today.
For almost 19 years, Interbrand has rated the world’s top 100 brands in terms of their brand value. And like every year, it isn’t a troublesome task to guess who has occupied the first position.
Even last years things were pretty predictable.
Last year’s Best Global Brand report went like; Apple was made the best global brand valued at $184,154 million, with Google and Microsoft taking places two and three, valued at $141, 703 million and $79,999 million, respectively.
Apple being the mega-brand has been on the king’s seat from quite a long time now, even this years the unexpected was less to be a highlight, but it happened.
You must have known until now who’s been crowned, again.
Continuing its reign as the world’s number one brand, Apple is number one yet again and is this year valued at $214,480 million, a tidy increase of 16 percent on last year.
Similarly, the second position was predicted correctly.
Google takes the number two spot, growing 10 percent on last year.
But that’s not how things went with the third position in integrand’s global brand’s list!
The real surprise came when Amazon dethroned Microsoft and shined as the world top the third brand. With a whopping 56 percent increase on its brand value, Amazon has made it to number three in the charts (at $100,764 million), knocking Microsoft down to fourth place ($92,715 million) – even though it increased 16 percent.
While surprises and shocks came in the list, the overall listing was very much predictable. (Full Story)
