We Pray for This Pandemic to End Soon and We All Get Back to Our Normal Lives but Wait – Will COVID’19 Really End?

As the novel coronavirus outbreaks across the globe, most people are relating to the seriousness of this virus with that of 9∕11 or the Great Depression of 2008. To some extent, they are right to think like that. These were the most crucial events in the world’s history that left enormous marks on the face of the earth – from nature and science to the culture and lifestyle. COVID’19 depicts a similar level of lasting on earth. Though we all are praying hard for this pandemic to end so we get back to our daily routines but wait. Is it really going to end or will bring some lasting changes to the globe?
With the copious amount of fear and panic prevailing regarding this pandemic, there are people still capable of using the sanity of their minds and coming up with some great discoveries. A fraction of them is also talking about this brewing question. The question of how long will coronavirus keep impacting the globe even after its final burial. Well, the propositions are a little disappointing for they predict this pandemic to not just possess an impact on the globe but to change it permanently. Worry not, for a lot of those changes are presumed to be positive.
To lighten your fear and tell you the good side of this pandemic, I have put together some great changes that the world seems to embrace in these difficult times, and believe me they are so good to be buried after this pandemic. Clinch in, this could be bigger than you have imagined.
Nations across the globe have largely shown patriotism, but for their armed forces only. The post COVID’19 looks like bringing a new wave of patriotism i.e. towards the healthcare industry.
Unlike the armed forces glazed with heavy machinery, these medical professionals do not have guns to shoot down the virus neither they entered the profession with the thought of dying for their motherland.
But these doctors, nurses, caregivers, pharmacists, teachers, and utility workers – they have happily transformed themselves into the front-line fighters against this pandemic. People across the globe cannot just put their efforts into a vein but they are praising these heroes and are incredibly proud of them.
people from all across the world have become a lot non-serious, especially, in the liberal world of digitalization. This is majorly due to the higher capability of people for affording luxuries, higher levels of consumer technology and a lot of other facilities. People had begun taking things for granted but no more non-seriousness will prevail in the world.
First thing first, COVID’19 has already put people into taking the experts and their guidelines seriously. They are washing hands, keeping themselves hydrated, sitting at home, and following every precaution told by the experts.
With this sanity being back towards the world’s population, we can expect a lot of great decisions and actions being made by them in the coming future.

believe me, or not, COVID’19 is surely going to put an end to the global population’s romance with hyper-individuality and market-oriented society. This is surely going to end.
This pandemic has made it very clear and obvious that market-based models cannot for social institutions. They only make situations like COVID’19 worse, where self-seeking behavior fully destroys the foundational objectives of a social institution.
Soon after we get over this pandemic, there will be massive investments made for public goods and services, specifically, public health. The charm of individuality would lighten as we will begin to understand how closely humans are interconnected and their fates are knitted together. The fast-food I eat from an outside restaurant that does not close and risks the lives of their workers puts me into as much vulnerability for the illness, as my brother refusing to stay at home does. You see how connected and interlinked our fates are? This would surely teach us to lessen the practices of individualism.
Most of us have stronger faiths in our religions, but on certain occasions only. We celebrate our religious festivities with great zeal but later that night, we forget about what it preached. Don’t you think like this pandemic is reviving our religious beliefs out of nowhere – I mean no festivals and celebrations but most of us are praying with incredible emotions.
This is going to revive our religious beliefs and faiths to an enormous extent. Though we have seen religions struggling to a greater extent before, it has never happened to all the religions of the world together. So, this pandemic, I believe is to bring a much positive change and I hope to see that change last forever.
Though digitalization took over the world long ago, COVID’19 has brought up a better and healthier face of it for the world.
As the days of self-isolation tend to begin across the world, we have witnessed some amazing examples of using digital platforms positively. You see teachers creating useful content for their students on social media platforms, renowned musicians and singers are hosting online concerts for their fans, influencers and celebrities are telling people about the health precautions for free and so on.
People are finding excuses to connect with the world though they have to do it for free. You will find yoga trainers initiating free online courses, and a lot more.
All of this represents an incredibly healthier digital lifestyle. It shows the world that they can face it all together, from behind their screens.
The best we can hope is that these changes become the permanent face of this globe, where we live with and for each other. I see a happily ever after boiling up from this pandemic, what about you?
